Who cuts your hair
A trade you cannot rush, learned over a lifetime.
Fausto Arnieri opened Faust of Italy on Dempster Street in 1981, after starting out in the seventies. The Professional Beauty Association — the trade body for licensed beauty professionals in the United States — recognized him with a Lifetime Member award for more than 58 years as an active member.
A salon that opened in 1981 invites a fair question: does it still cut hair the way hair is cut now? Every stylist here attends continuing education classes to stay current on technique. Fausto and his stylists have won hair industry competitions all over the United States, and several of the team have been invited to judge them. Some have taught workshops and platform classes for other hairdressers. There is a competition trophy on the counter by the door.
Everyone there is super good at doing hair especially Kathy who has been with Faust from the beginning when he first started out in the 70’s and everyone is very nice and have been there for years including the wash girlShari Rotheiser · Google
